Here are the results for our season opener.
With a record 16 teams we started at 5:00 am checking boats. We would like to thank BayView for
providing a hot breakfast for us to start the day. Boats were launched at 6: am and many of the teams had
limits by 8:00. Around 11:00 the heat turned on and things slowed down. Weigh-in started at 2:00 pm. All
the teams weighed in fish with 12 teams weighing in a limit. With 74 fish weighing a total of 104.57 lbs it
was a great showing by all teams.
Thanks to our sponsors everyone walked away with a prize, including tackle, shirts, hats and gift
certificates. During the weigh-in everyone was treated to hamburgers and hot dogs courtesy of BayView.
The team of Craig Saylor and Tyson Swann took 1st place with a limit weighing 9.67 lbs. Robert and
Denise Collins took 2nd with 9.49 lbs. Robert Streets and Jeff Carey took 3rd with 8.94 lbs. Each of the
three teams received plaques or trophies and a cash payout. Great job to all.
We would like to thank our returning 9 teams from last year and welcome the 7 new teams.
